Luke's Mommy and Daddy went on a date tonight and I got to keep the kids! Lukie and Mare hanging out on a Saturday night is a recipe for fun. So, go figure, Luke said two adorable things I have to share.
While we were eating at Purple Cow (for all you Little Rockians I was at the Dallas location) there was a little girl sitting at the table next to us that was misbehaving. Her mom pointed to Luke, who was sitting with me and Emerson, and said, "Look, that little boy is obeying his mom and sitting very nicely in his chair." Being a nanny, I have learned to ignore comments like this unless they are said directly to me. Luke, however, understood what the lady said. He looked at me and said, "No, your not My Mommy you're My Mare." Ahhhhh, Luke, you melt my heart. Then later tonight when I was getting Luke settled down for bed. We were rocking in his chair and talking about his fun day. I said, "Lukie, you are sweet as pie," and gave him an eskimo kiss. He looked up at me and said, "Sometimes." Ha, what a charmer!
